Adobe Flex certification finally!
May 8th, 2007 by Dave
Been waiting a while for this one, but I think I'm going to have to study a bit to pass the exam. There's a PDF version link of the requirements and sample questions below. Ok so, much reading and it's off to VUE for me. Again, once I have time.
Click here to download the PDF.

If you become certified in Flex 2, your certification will become void shortly after Flex 3 comes out.
I decided I would wait for the Flex 3 exams to come out before I tried for certification.
tfendall,
Judging by how Macro/Adobe handled it in the past, that’s not true. If you were to wait for the Flex 3 cert to come out, it might be a long time. In the past, Macro/Adobe takes a while to get their exams up-to-date with the current version.
Frustrating, I know! Example: Flex 3 is due out Q4 of this year, so very soon. But my bet is that the Flex 3 cert won’t be out at least for 6 months to come. I could be wrong. But either way, if you were to get certified in Flex 2 today, and the Flex 3 exam was available let’s say in January (I’d be impressed) but what Macro used to do is let you take a mini upgrade exam from home, online, for way less than $150, I think it was $50 and you can continue to upgrade your certs in Flex for years to come that way.
I think Adobe still does this as I contacted them not long ago and that’s what they told me about my Flash certs. You have like 60 days to upgrade from home, if not, then your cert is void.
My advice personally, don’t hesitate if you’re interested in becoming certified. Flex is growing so quickly and it seems to be catching on. It never hurts to be among the first in the field
Actually, I found it here on Adobe’s site

You have 90 days after the next version comes out to upgrade your exam. You can do it from home which is definitely cool.
The tests consist of 30-60 multiple choice questions focusing exclusively on new product features. Each exam takes 30 minutes to one hour to complete. And it is $50.
I was thinking the same thing originally, but when I heard that from Macromedia, I figured why not get certified soon and then by the time they release the Flex 3 cert exam (ages from now) I can upgrade at home easily and keep it current. Pretty cool!
