Adobe Air – MySpace Style Editor
Nov 23rd, 2007 by Dave
ATTENTION AirSpace users: AirSpace is now called MyStylez. Same great application, different name and location. AirSpace will not receive further upgrades, but instead, you should download and install MyStylez. We’ve made many improvements and enhancements on MyStylez and it will continue to function with your AirSpace profiles that you have saved on your computer. If you chose “yes” on the latest update for AirSpace and nothing changed, you should download MyStylez here and continue to create your profiles as before.
DOWNLOAD: MyStylez You will need the Adobe AIR Runtime to install this program. You can download and install the Adobe AIR Runtime here:
Choose the correct download for your Operating System and install the runtime before installing MyStylez.
Download MyStylez: www.mystylez.com

What else could I call it?? AirSpace!
What does it do?
I’ve had a few clients asking if I could help them with the styling of their MySpace pages, so I did them one better, I made a MySpace Style Editor with Adobe Air. As far as I know, there aren’t any MySpace api’s to play with, but there are a ton of online style editors. Just haven’t seen one built with Air yet. So far, AirSpace allows you to edit the basics of a MySpace page, fonts, font color, size for most sections, links, hover, background colors, images, contact table, cursor style and so on. But there are huge plans for AirSpace because my head’s bouncing with ideas.
Consider this download a rough cut, there’s tons more I want to add to it like slideshow support, possibly graphic creation inside the app itself that will allow you to create/save and then upload your own Contact Table image to Photobucket.com for example. I have requests already for music support, but I don’t really know what can be done with music as far as AirSpace goes.
I’ve been thinking about trying to bang out this app for a while, and with the Thankgivings Day weekend, I finally got some time to sit down and think it out. This whole thing was written in a day. Ran into some issues with the icons, I’m sure I forgot something that the Flash Player doesn’t like about the pngs, gifs or jpgs.
How does it work?
Basically, you run through the accordion views and set whatever styles you want, make sure to save them, and the last view allows you generate the css you’ll need to paste into your MySpace profile. You can save code to your machine and open it later if you wanted to create a zillion different styles and swap them out like socks. I know my cousin will like this feature
Updates and new features
I’ll keep plugging along and posting any updates. If anyone has some ideas for adding features, tweaks, bug fixes just let me know, I could definitely use the help.

Hi Dave,
It’s really a fantastic work!
I heard some news that’s myspace plan to open it’s API, haha.
Ahhh too late! I went ahead without their API. Was wondering why I didn’t see any MySpace + Air combination and I think thats why. Some really awesome ideas came out last night when I was talking to a few friends and family members. I’m going to expand on AirSpace and make it as nutty as possible
looks good! thanx
Thanks. Great…
