Flex All Star Team -Jeff Tapper, Mike Nimer and Mike Labriola
Dec 5th, 2007 by Dave
Just saw on Mike Nimer's blog that Tapper, Nimer & Associates is teaming up with Digital Primates Inc. to make one big RIA All Star Team - LTN Consulting, Inc. They're going to be operating under the name Digital Primates IT Consulting Group, so they get to keep the cool name
You probably know Jeff Tapper and Mike Labriola best from Adobe Flex 2: Training from the Source, which basically taught half of us how to Flex it up. Now they're working on the Adobe Flex 3: Training from the source book, and Breaking Out of the Web Browser with Adobe AIR, and the list goes on starting years back.
Mike Nimer, as you probably already know, was a Senior Engineer at Adobe who was responsible for the integration of Flex 2 with ColdFusion Server. Check out the new Digital Primates starting line-up at The Monkey House for some stats.
I've been fortunate indeed to have a long standing professional relationship with Tapper, Nimer & Associates, and have valued Jeff's and Mike's guidance and mentoring from the early days of the "RIA-sphere". All 3 of the newly merged Digital Primates gurus are certified instructors, they quite literally wrote the books on rich internet applications, and between them, they have presented at more big conferences like MAX and FlexManiacs, various user group meetings, and countless other events than you could shake a stick at.
This is definitely big news and very cool! I think it's a sign of the times that, especially in 2007, the big companies seem like they're understanding more of the value of RIA tech, and maybe Adobe will meet their million Flex developer goal quicker than expected. That way we can have bigger conferences with longer after-hours parties!
