AirSpace becomes MyStylez 1.0.4.0
Feb 11th, 2008 by Dave
I was pretty excited when I saw that MyStylez.com was available, so I grabbed it! It made more sense when some of AirSpace's users had no idea what it did, to switch the name to MyStylez. Gives you a little more sense of what the app does. The other domain names with "stylez" in them were for sale for hundreds of bucks - no one thought to buy MyStylez.com though....worked out nicely!
Anyway, I made some minor bug fixes and enhancements. You can click on the MyStylez logo on top and reset the whole current profile quickly to save time, rather than have to comb through and manually reset every form field. If you were previously using AirSpace and it doesn't automatically update to MyStylez you can download the new installer here:
DOWNLOAD: MyStylez You will need the Adobe AIR Runtime to install this program. You can download and install the Adobe AIR Runtime here:
Choose the correct download for your Operating System and install the runtime before installing MyStylez.

When I first created MyStylez I did so to save myself having to manually edit some of my friend's and client's MySpace pages, and I thought it was a cool idea since this thing was out before MySpace put out their api. Didn't think too many people would be using it at first, but it's actually catching on very quickly. There are over 2000 users currently according to stats, so I'll have to put more time into it. The most important thing at this point I think is to get way more pre-made templates out. There's only a few out currently to show users how they can create their own profiles. But with the heaps of feedback I've had, I'm hearing that a lot of people want completely ready-made templates that they can just slap onto their MySpace profiles. Very pathetic, but I need to create more and post them up......soon soon.
It's been one heck of a busy year so far in 2008, but I promise to get heaps more templates out as soon as I can. Anyway, for those who are more artistically inclined, MyStylez would prove most beneficial until I get lots more pre-packaged templates out. The pre-made way is easier for those like my cousin, who want to browse for something "perdy" and slap it up live in under two minutes. So when the spouse or kids come asking if Mom or Dad can help them create a cool style for their MySpace page, just point them to MyStylez and sit down and have a coffee
The 1.0 version of Adobe AIR will be out early this year, so I'm planning some bigger enhancements in the future, but the first priority was just getting MyStylez to function correctly and it's pretty tight now.
More to come....I will save you from having to style your family's MySpace page!
